Sue Washburn

Sue Washburn offers writing services to newspapers, magazines and non-profit organizations. Sue's goal is to write in ways that inspire, motivate or challenge people to take positive action in their lives. 

Sue uses the skills she acquired as a talk show producer, news reporter and English teacher in her writing career.

She has been writing regularly for PITTSBURGH PARENT magazine. She's also been published in the PITTSBURGH POST-GAZETTE, ATLANTA PARENT, SAN DIEGO FAMILY MAGAZINE,THE TRIBUNE-REVIEW, CHESAPEAKE FAMILY, NORTHWEST FAMILY, ABOUT FAMILIES, CONNECTICUT COUNTY KIDS, PRESBYTERIANS TODAY as well as on the Kinderstart website.  Sue has won an Associated Press Award, a Golden Quill Award for investigative journalism, Gold and Bronze Awards for News Feature writing from the Parenting Publications of America as well as the first-place award of excellence from the Associated Church Press.

Sue also writes newsletter, brochure and magazine text for local non-profit organizations in her community including Apple Hill Playhouse, Redstone Presbytery , The Ellis School and the East Suburban Family YMCA.
